TOK Arts Mini-Exhibition

Outlining

Sean Coleman

2026-04-23

Today’s Goals

  • Apply essay rubric to the prescribed title
  • Outline/draft the essay you’ll write tomorrow

Key reminders

  • When you write the Exhibition, you need to explicitly identify the object – having done so on the task due Monday morning doesn’t count
  • You don’t need to do this explicitly today in the outline, but you need to remember to do so tomorrow

Further Review

  • Resources to review outside of class:
    • Understanding the Exhibition Rubric: https://thinkib.net/tok/page/52474/understanding-the-exhibition-assessment-instrument
    • Exemplars with comments: https://thinkib.net/tok/page/52482/exhibitions-and-comments

Schedule

  • Thursday, April 23: draft/outline major on paper, no devices
  • Friday, April 24: write major on paper with access to outline, no devices

Getting Started

  • You have a sheet of paper to write on that already has your name on it.
  • If you need more, get up and get one (or more) from the stack.
  • Clear your space except for pen/pencil/paper/printed Object Selection Form.
  • Start by copying down the title:
