• TOK’s central question: “How do I know what I know?”
• Two major assessments: Exhibition (DP2, 33%) and Essay (DP2, 66%)
• DP1 Semester 1 covers three core themes; DP1 Semester 2 covers five Areas of Knowledge
• The opening activity asks you to categorise 20 s and create your own classification system — there is no single “right” answer
• Note: the role of language in the word “know” — Chinese uses separate verbs where English uses one word
