Three inquiry activities, each building on the previous:

  1. Activity 1 — Your own day as history: Describe last Saturday as a . What did you include? What did you omit? How confident are you in its accuracy?

  2. Activity 2 — Proving what happened: You are a suspect. How do you prove your account? What counts as ? What kinds of evidence are most convincing?

  3. Activity 3 — A document from 500 years ago: What difficulties arise in producing a of a historical document? What will a researcher 500 years from now make of your account?
